The Penal Code in Japan: Sex without consent isn’t rape? A talk with the first incorporated sexual assault survivors' organisation in Japan 

In June 2017, the Penal Code regarding sex crimes in Japan was reformed significantly for the first time in 110 years, but many challenges remain. At this talk, the work of Spring, the first incorporated sexual assault survivors’ organisation in Japan, will be introduced and the reality of sexual violence in Japan will also be discussed. It will also be an opportunity to exchange ideas about how to realise a better world for everyone, including survivors of sexual violence.

Carl Randall exhibiting at The Royal Society of Portrait Painters Exhibition, May 10th-25th
