That\u2019s why we have an in-house spinal cord injury (SCI) specialist counselling service. Support is available on the phone or via video call, and we\u2019re expanding our service to provide emotional support more quickly to everyone who needs it.<\/p>\n
And because we know that all in the SCI community can need mental wellbeing support, the service is available for everyone, including friends, family and carers.<\/p>\n

Living with a SCI can be tough \u2013 and that\u2019s an understatement. Coming to terms with the physical health effects and all the life-changing consequences of injury can take its toll on our mental health.<\/p>\n
I\u2019m here to listen to your concerns and give you the support you need. I can also help you find other useful services.<\/p>\n
If you think you could benefit from talking therapy with someone who understands SCI talk to your local support coordinator in the first instance and they will pass your details onto me. Remember that you\u2019re not alone, and I\u2019ll look forward to talking to you soon.<\/p>\n
