Peer Support made such an impact on me that I felt I would like to be able to help others in a similar position through their journey.\u202f\u00a0<strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>What do you enjoy most about the role?\u202f<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>I really enjoy the feeling that I\u2019m making a difference and having a positive impact on people\u2019s lives. I can empathise with\u202fmany\u202fof the people I support and use\u202fthe experience of my injury to help others through difficult times. I also get to meet lots of interesting, fantastic people and I love being part of such a great community at SIA!<\/p>\n<p><strong>What sorts of things do you do in your role?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>As well as supporting spinal\u202fcord injured patients in hospital, we build relationships with medical professionals and explain\u202fhow\u202fthe charity can help those who are newly injured.
