An Evening of Japanese Documentary presented by NHK WORLD TV on 10 April 2017 in London

On Monday 10 April 2017, NHK WORLD TV, the 24-hour international English-language channel from Japan’s public service broadcaster, NHK, will bring two documentary films to London for a screening event:

1. What You Taught Me About My Son, 6.30pm

What You Taught Me About My Son is an award-winning documentary about a Japanese boy with severe autism who wrote one of the most extraordinarily candid books on life with the condition, championed by the acclaimed British author, David Mitchell.

2. Never-Ending Man: Hayao Miyazaki, 8.30pm

Never-Ending Man: Hayao Miyazaki follows Japanese animation maestro and Studio Ghibli co-founder as he comes out of retirement to work on his first-ever CGI film. This is a rare opportunity to see the first public screening of the Director’s Cut in the UK.

NHK WORLD TV’s screenings of Never-Ending Man: Hayao Miyazaki and What You Taught Me About My Son at the Curzon Bloomsbury in London are ticketed but free to attend. Both sessions will include a short introduction to NHK WORLD TV, film screening and a post-show Q&As.
