TeZukA: Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui’s new production to premiere at Sadler's Wells

The Daiwa Anglo-Japanese Foundation is delighted to be supporting the world premiere of TeZukA at Sadler’s Wells, 6-10 September 2011 as well as associated workshops and talks. The production was conceived and choreographed by Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui, Associate Artist of Sadler’s Wells. Co-produced with Bunkamura Theatre, the piece aims to explore and connect Tezuka’s famous animations from a single line to a fully formed animation character. Following are a couple of press articles about the production: Guardian article and Daily Telegraph article, a video online where Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui discusses Osamu Tezuka and how he has been inspired by him, and a short clip of rehearsal footage .
