Daiwa Scholarship alumnus and artist Carl Randall was recently commissioned by Bob Bob Ricard to create a series of four new portrait paintings of restaurateurs and people in the hospitality industry for their new £30 million restaurant in the Leadenhall building in the City of London.
The portraits depict celebrated French chef and author Pierre Koffmann; food critic for Bloomberg for 25 years Richard Vines; restaurateur/businessmen Leonid Shutov; and Russian restaurateurs and businessmen Roman and Mikhail Zelman (owners of restaurants: Burger & Lobster, Beast, Sumi, Zelman Meats, Goodman Steakhouse).
The portraits are set against relevant locations such as the City of London, the Barbican Centre, and 5 Hertford Street Club in Mayfair (one of London’s most exclusive private members clubs).
Bob Bob Ricard has two iconic luxury venues, one in Soho and now one in the City, serving classic French, English and Russian menus to its eclectic clientele in London’s most glamorous all-booth dining room.
Equipped with a “Press for Champagne” button at every table, it is famous for pouring more champagne than any other restaurant in Britain.
