Announcing the Daiwa Anglo-Japanese Foundation 2012 Seminar Series

The theme for the Daiwa Anglo-Japanese Foundation 2012 Seminar Series will be:

Leadership: People and Power in the UK and Japan

The March 2011 crisis in north east Japan has called into question Japanese society’s future direction and our perceptions of what it means to be Japanese. Meanwhile, in Britain, a coalition government and dual leadership of the ruling party has revealed the fault lines in a country where the gaps between young and old, rich and poor and urban and rural remain pronounced. The 2012 seminar series will focus on debates on leadership in the UK and Japan and the structures, systems and people that may contribute to change. Individual seminars will consider the role of politicians, educators, business leaders and entrepreneurs, artists, scientists and engineers in influencing the societies of the future.

Seminars are at Daiwa Foundation Japan House, 13/14 Cornwall Terrace, London NW1 4QP and start at 6.00pm. More information about the seminars will be announced soon.
