Carl Randall work selected for prestigious RA Summer Exhibition
Categorised under: Art & Exhibitions, Scholarships
Dr Carl Randall, a former Daiwa Scholar and MEXT Scholar, will have one of his paintings on display at the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition, 10 June to 18 August 2013.
Do drop by at the Royal Academy from this Saturday, 10 June onwards to see Carl’s painting, ‘Tokyo Subway’.
This is tremendous news as only 1,000 works chosen out of 10,000 submitted worldwide have been selected.
“Now in its 245th year, the RA Summer Exhibition is the world’s largest open-submission exhibition, displaying more than 1,000 works (chosen from from aprox. 10,000 worldwide entries), in all styles and media, including painting, printmaking, photography, sculpture, architectural models and film”.
Last year as you may remember, Carl won the National Portrait Gallery’s prestigious BP Travel Award, and his Tokaido Highway travel commission will show later on in the year.
