Congratulations to the 2018 Daiwa Scholars on having completed the Scholarship programme

This message below was sent by the British Ambassador to Japan to the 2018 Daiwa Scholars who have spent 18 months in Japan and had their graduation ceremony on Tuesday, 24 March.

“To the Daiwa Scholars graduating in 2020

Many congratulations on the successful completion of your Daiwa Scholarship experience.

I am sorry not to be able to join you for the event this evening.

I am sure that you will have found your time in Japan an enriching and enjoyable experience, that has made an important contribution to your personal and professional development.

No doubt it has also forged bonds of affection with Japan and the Japanese people that you will carry with you in the years ahead.
