Daiwa Scholar, Annabel James's contemporary Japanese art website

One of our 2012 Daiwa Scholars, Annabel James, has a passion for modern Japanese art. She ventured out to Japan on a Daiwa Scholarship with the aim of building on this experience in order to then undertake further study in East Asian Art, become an art critic, a curator or a dealer.
Her review of Tokyo National Museum’s summer calligraphy show was recently featured in the magazine ‘Metropolis’, a widely-distributed English language magazine in Japan which focuses on arts, culture, society, entertainment and events in Japan.
