Daiwa Scholar, Edmund Stenson's new documentary, "Finding Fukue" wins prize

2017 Daiwa Scholar Edmund Stenson’s new documentary, Finding Fukue  has  won the best film award in the NSI (National Screen Institute Canada) Online Short Film Festival.  The film went live on the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (CBC) website and on YouTube last year.

It reached nearly half a million views in two weeks, and the Foundation is excited to share the film here: https://youtu.be/ZVlZMOB-Sq0. The press kit is available here.

It has now reached over 3 million views.

The 21-minute film follows Canadian musician Jessica Stuart as she returns to Japan to solve the mystery of her long-lost friend, nearly 30 years after they first met.
