Gallery Assistant Internship

Categorised under: ,

The Daiwa Anglo-Japanese Foundation is a charity supporting links between the UK and Japan. We organise seminars, talks and exhibitions on issues including economics, politics, sociology and contemporary art. More information about our exhibitions can be found here.

We are looking for a Gallery Assistant Intern to join the events team at the Foundation to assist in preparing and coordinating our exhibitions and events. We are looking for someone hands-on and engaged who is prepared either to come in to the office in person once or twice a week as part of an events team, or to work remotely and flexibly once or twice a week. The latter option will mainly require working independently, focusing on target research.

Responsibilities:

  • Researching and compiling lists of target invitees for our events
  • Assisting with marketing of exhibitions and public events
  • Editing photos and videos for our website and social media channels
  • Interest in Contemporary Art, Japan and/or experience in events management would be a distinct plus.

This internship is unpaid but interns will be reimbursed for local travel and lunch expenses. To apply, please send a cover letter and your CV to events@dajf.org.uk by the 15th of August 2022. Please clarify your preference regarding the working style in the office or remotely.
