Japan Now

Japan Now is the chance to explore contemporary writing and culture from Japan.  With a new wave of Japanese fiction hitting UK bookshelves, meet the writers alongside translators and contemporary artists at this annual event, exploring gender, history, society and everything in between.

Japan Now is from the 18th-25th February 2019. Events include: the Japan Now Translation Day on Friday 22nd February; Japan Now at the British Library on Saturday 23rd February and Japan Now North, which is supported by the Foundation, from 19th-25th February and will take place in Sheffield.
