On Thursday 27 June, Japanese violinist Sayaka Shoji joins the Philharmonia Orchestra at Southbank Centre’s Royal Festival Hall for a performance of Tchaikovsky’s iconic Violin Concerto.

Described by The Sunday Times as displaying a ‘passionate, free, almost improvisatory virtuosity of the highest order’, Shoji is one of classical music’s most exciting talents and the Orchestra are thrilled that she will be able to join us for this impressive programme.

The concert also sees acclaimed Russian conductor Yuri Temirkanov conduct Mussorgsky’s rousing Pictures at an Exhibition, a mainstay of the classical music repertoire and a hall of fame favourite around the world.

For this concert the Philharmonia is offering best available seats for just £15. To claim this discount all you have to do is call either the Philharmonia or Southbank box office and quote ‘Japan £15’ when booking.
