セミナーシリーズ 2005

Wednesday 19 January 2005
6:00pm – 8:00pm

British Crafts and Japan

Daiwa Foundation Japan House

the Daiwa Anglo-Japanese Foundation 主催

This first seminar on British Crafts and Japan explored the significant links that exist between the crafts in both countries and the opportunities that are emerging for the future. The creative and commercial partnerships that have evolved through various aspects of international exchange – including craft fairs, sponsored missions, study visits and exhibitions – were addressed by our speakers and chair, who represented the makers, the facilitators and the museums’ sector. Different cultural perspectives on the crafts and different approaches to the production and collection of craft objects were featured in the presentations and discussions.

This seminar has been arranged in association with the Crafts Council and Japan Society.
