Urban Renaissance in the UK and Japan
Daiwa Foundation Japan House
the Daiwa Anglo-Japanese Foundation 主催
This seminar brought together a panel of speakers from government and the private sector to address the political and commercial issues that inform urban renaissance in the UK and Japan. Major development projects, such as Roppongi Hills in Tokyo, have been the result of long-term planning and consultation exercises. How both countries are formulating their visions for the future and how the government and private sectors are working together to realise those visions were the focus of the presentations. Case studies of major urban renaissance projects in Britain and Japan provided a comparative framework for the discussion of international models for urban regeneration.
Organised in association with The Japan Society.
