2011 Daiwa Tohoku Scholar, Jun Murayama’s Study Abroad Experience at the University of Glasgow

Mr Jun Murayama – one of the 2011 Daiwa Tohoku Scholars –  is studying Western History at Chuo University and was working on a dissertation on Scottish nationalism (‘The Relationship between the Gaelic Renaissance of and Scottish Nationalism’) at the time of applying. He has just finished a year of study at Glasgow University. 'Mark-ing' - on at Gallery Libby Sellers until 25 January 2013

Mark-ing is an exhibition exploring the subtle differences and parallels between  British and Japanese culture. The showcase presents work by 16 contemporary designers, eight from each country, alongside the ordinary objects that have influenced their careers. The exhibition has been curated by Tsuyoshi Matsuzawa and Max Fraser, was organised by the British Council and E&Y co., ltd, and received a Daiwa Foundation
