The Fukushima Youth Sinfonietta Comes to Tokyo

Following the huge success of their concert at the Queen Elizabeth Hall in London in March 2014, the Fukushima Youth Sinfonietta is performing at Opera City in Tokyo on August 20th 2015 at 7pm. The concert is the culmination of this year’s project, organised by the UK-based charity Keys of Change. Internationally acclaimed concert pianist Panos Karan, the founder of Keys of Change, has been working with young musicians from middle schools in Fukushima for the past four years.

Yoi Kawakubo: Art after Fukushima and Tohoku (Talk at ICA at 2pm on 8 October)

Yoi Kawakubo is a photographer and artist, born in Spain and currently based in Tokyo.He bases his works on themes regarding the ontology of photography, light, and social issues such as disaster affected areas of Fukushima and Tohoku. On Wednesday 8 October at 2pm, he will give a talk at the ICA in London (in partnership with the University of the Arts London: Camberwell, Chelsea, Wimbledon).

Daiwa Funded Project Exhibits at Architectural Association School of Architecture

Until 8 December the exhibition YATAI HERE YATAI THERE is being shown at the Front Room of the Architectural Association School of Architecture, Bedford Square, London.
