'Quietness in noise', PV tomorrow 23 August @ tokyobike in Shoreditch

‘Quietness in noise’ – Opening reception on 23 August, 5-8pm. Presented by Subject Matter in collaboration with SPoN! The show continues until 3 September. Proceeds from the crowd-sourced photographic artwork will go to the Japan Emergency Network (JEN NPO), in order to support those affected by the 2011 Tohoku earthquake and tsunami.

Tomoko Yoneda and artist talk, 15 October 2013

The artist talk on 15 October, connected to the Daiwa Anglo-Japanese Foundation’s current exhibition Acting Out of Nothingness: from the APT Collection  included the Director of the APT Institute, Justin R. Merino, who will describe the work of his organisation and exhibiting artist Kanako Sasaki, who introduced her photography and the thoughts and processes that inform her work. London-based Japanese photographer Tomoko Yoneda whose work addresses similar themes led a discussion on journalism, history and contemporary photography.

Takahito Irie's solo show at Arebyte Gallery, 3-31 October 2013

Arebyte Gallery is very proud to present Takahito Irie’s first ever solo show in the UK, Influence – part of his ongoing project, H/U/M/A/N/M/A/C/H/I/N/E, in which he explores the boundaries between the natural and the artificial. William Klein and Daido Moriyama exhibition at the Tate Modern until 20 January 2013

On 7 November, I was lucky enough to go on an early morning tour of the William Klein and Daido Moriyama exhibition at the Tate Modern, expertly guided by Juliet Bingham, who, with Dr Simon Baker, curated the dual-retrospective of these two pioneering giants of photography. On display are over 300 photographs, stills and films dating from the 1950s
