Emily - an English Language Noh play; 4-6 September 2019

“Emily” will be performed at Tara Arts Theatre (Earlsfield, London): 4 to 6 September. For three nights only, professional Noh actors and musicians from Japan will offer a cross-cultural take on one of the most significant events in women’s political history. In 1913, Emily Wilding Davison ran onto the racetrack at the Epsom Derby in support of votes for women. She was struck down by the King’s horse and died four days later. But what happened to the jockey that killed her?
