Kotatsu Japanese Animation Festival returns to Cardiff and Aberystwyth this September and October

The Kotatsu Japanese Animation Festival returns to Wales (ChapterSeptember 29th – October 1st, 2017Aberystwyth Arts Centre – October 28th, 2017) for another edition in 2017 with audiences able to enjoy a whole host of Welsh premieres, a Japanese marketplace, and a Q&A and special film screening hosted by an important figure from the Japanese animation industry. An Evening of Japanese Documentary presented by NHK WORLD TV on 10 April 2017 in London

On Monday 10 April 2017, NHK WORLD TV will screen two documentaries in London:
1. What You Taught Me About My Son, 6.30pm – an award-winning documentary about a
Japanese boy with severe autism and 2. Never-Ending Man: Hayao Miyazaki, 8.30pm – follows Japanese animation maestro and Studio Ghibli co-founder as he comes out of retirement to work on his first-ever CGI film.

A Kyoto theatre group and Deptford musicians collaborating on double bill in London and Stroud in September 2016

“117 – one one seven” & “Ghost House Gone House” – This double bill theatre and music event, presented by Kyoto-based theatre group, BRDG and Deptford-based music duo, Rabbit is about an old Victorian house which used to exist at 117 Lewisham Way, New Cross, London, and the family which used to live there. UK performances in September 2016.

'The Grandchildren of Hiroshima' - a London Bubble project

In May 2014, London Bubble Theatre Company was awarded a Daiwa Foundation Award to support our project The Grandchildren of Hiroshima. Following the success of our Grandchildren of the Blitz project in 2011 – in which we drew upon the stories and experiences of elders that survived the Blitz to create an intergenerational, community production – we wanted to use the experiences of this project to undertake a parallel project in Hiroshima.

5 Additional screenings of "Love Hotel" at the ICA: 26 September to 2 October 2014

The UK premiere of acclaimed new feature documentary LOVE HOTEL was held at the ICA London on Wednesday 17th September at 8pm. Given the popularity of the film the ICA has announced additional screenings for the Osaka based feature documentary LOVE HOTEL after the UK Premiere on the 17th September and extra screenings  Saturday 20th September at 3.30pm and Sunday 28th September at 2:00pm sold out.
