Daiwa Adrian Prizes 2016: Winners Announced

Winners of the 2016 Daiwa Adrian Prizes, the prestigious awards for scientific collaboration in the UK and Japan, have been announced. Following an assessment conducted by a panel of Fellows of the Royal Society, the Trustees of The Daiwa Anglo-Japanese Foundation have awarded four Daiwa Adrian Prizes of £10,000 to joint UK-Japan scientific research teams.

Daiwa Foundation funds projects ranging from robots to rugby

The Daiwa Anglo-Japanese Foundation (www.dajf.org.uk) has published details of grants awarded to support UK-Japan projects in its latest funding round. Tsuyoshi Anzai featured in the Royal British Society of Sculptors bursary awards group exhibition until 20 May 2016

This vibrant exhibition showcases the work of the ten winners of the RBS Bursary Awards 2015 who represent the best and brightest emerging contemporary sculptors and includes work by Tsuyoshi Anzai. Anzai graduated with an MA in Film and New Media from the Tokyo University of the Arts in 2011, and is the 2015-2016 recipient of the ‘Core Programme’ residency at the Museum of Fine Arts in Houston, Texas.

Article published by Small Grant recipient on HIV Prevention and Risk-Reduction in Europe & Japan

The Daiwa Anglo-Japanese Foundation was delighted to support Dr Nigel Sherriff, Principal Research Fellow at the University of Brighton, with a Daiwa Foundation Small Grant in September 2011, in order to assist with his collaborative research with Japanese academics at Nagoya City University and NGO practitioners in the field of HIV prevention and risk-reduction. Further details of the outcomes of the Everywhere* in Japan workshop series were published  in Health Promotion International (Oxford Journals) on 11 November 2015.
