蜷川実花氏によるアーティスト・トークのご案内

世界で活躍する写真家であり映画監督の蜷川実花氏が、桜や金魚の象徴的な写真から、最近の「写ルンです」シリーズやパラリンピック選手のポートレート等、自身のアート作品について語ります。また、パンデミックの中で写真家としての活動をどのように調整してきたか、社会的距離感についての考え方や世界観についても探ります。司会は、アシュモレアン美術館キュレーター、フリッチュ・レーナ博士が担当。
蜷川実花氏の作品は、2021年7月29日から、アシュモレアン美術館「TOKYO: ART & PHOTOGRAPHY」展にて展示予定。同氏によるパラリンピック選手のポートレイトは、現在Daiwa Japan House Galleryにて展示中。

Coventry Young Ambassadors’ 2019 Japan Visit & Subsequent Activities

In 2019, supported with a Daiwa Foundation Award, ten primary school children from five Coventry primary schools travelled to Japan. The pupils collaborated with five schools in Japan on Olympic-based projects. Outcomes of the project have been far-reaching, including a Japan Arts Festival in Coventry, an Olympic Torch relay between 60 Coventry schools, a Japanese Peace Garden and further Japan-related education.

The Japan House Gallery will reopen to the public on Tuesday 15 June:

From Tuesday 15 June 2021, the Japan House Gallery will reopen to the public, with the current exhibition, Beauty and Power by Mika Ninagawa, on display until Friday 30 July (weekdays only, 10:00-17:00).
