My experience in the UK by 2011 Daiwa Tohoku Scholar, Maho Takeuchi

Ms Maho Takeuchi – one of the 2011 Daiwa Tohoku Scholars – is a nurse, currently studying for a doctorate in Women’s Health at Tohoku University. In 2012 she spent three months at Glasgow University on a postgraduate course in lymphoedema. She believes that supporting health through nursing is key to revitalising Japan and particularly the Tohoku region. Takahito Irie's solo show at Arebyte Gallery, 3-31 October 2013

Arebyte Gallery is very proud to present Takahito Irie’s first ever solo show in the UK, Influence – part of his ongoing project, H/U/M/A/N/M/A/C/H/I/N/E, in which he explores the boundaries between the natural and the artificial. The project has been shown previously in Seoul, Beijing, Tokyo and Weimar, Germany. The show will run from 3-31 October 2013.

Work Experience Diary by Alex Syriopoulos

一週間、大和日英基金に働いた 大和日英基金で私は手伝うために、色々な課題をすることができました。新年度へ準備するために、大学にたくさん手紙を送りました。大和日英基金はチャリティなので、大学は大和の生活についてを知りません。だから、このお手紙は大学に基金の目的を伝えます。そして、日本協会は大和の建物の三階を使う予定なので片付けなければなりませんでした。ぜひ、今後、もっとロンドンの行事に参加しようと思います。私の日本の学力は前よりとても良いです。その上に、カロラインと美術館や博物館に行きました。日本について知識を習得したと思います。残念ながら、大学で日本語を習び続けるので、奨学金に申し込まめないけど、学士号を卒業した後に、申し込むかもしれません!全体的に、私は大和日英基金に働くことが好きでした。また帰ると思います!
